LoJack question
I own a GS-R and I'm scared whenever I take it to school. My friend's WRX recently got stolen so now I'm quite paranoid and it doesn't help with my car being one of the most top stolen cars in America. I live in Glendale, CA and it's generally a pretty safe area.
Anyways, back to my question. I always see a bunch of stolen integra threads and a lot of them have a lot of money put into them. What I'm wondering is how come none of these cars seem to have LoJack? From what I know, it seems to be an extremely solid and valuable safety tool.
Is there something that makes LoJack faulty? Why doesn't everyone have it?

A good 2way alarm with GPS tracking will work a lot better.

Well, I'm far from rich and don't have a lot of money to work with. My dad was going to buy me a sub and amp for my car but I'd much prefer some type of security because my GS-R currently has NOTHING.
Does anyone else have any other feedback?

Lo-jack is a good unit to have. The older units suck major *****. The newer unit is alot better. But What kill the lo-jack unit is the installation. It allways put in the same spot and theives allways know the hot spots to were its at. The newer unit comes with the "earliey warning system" If your car is moved with out the key fob in the car it will give you a call so you can alert the police to track the car. Now remember lo-jack is not a gps system. Its a beakon system. They can not track the car to a 100% address like gps. So they have to drive around till the beakon gets stronger. Before you get any extra products added to your car. I would strongly suggest a good two way alarms with gps tracking. Make sure the install is uo to par. If not its not going to do a dam thing. Also layer up your alarm system. Check out the thread above.
Your in glendale? Boi forget a sub. Get a alarm quick. Before your car ends up in sunvalley off of penrose. No security on a gsr is straight bad.
