well as some my know the last month has been a pretty bad month for me and the the coupe..

4 weeks ago the built Z6 went down...
replaced it with a temp JDM D15B with 20K on it with the new Turbo set up
shortly after a oppsy happened and my front end was damaged...

i had plans for full paint after i pulled my 11sec SOHC pass, but now is the time to make the full changes i had planned for...

well here are some current pics of the car after dropping it off for paint...

more to come as the time goes by....

ok guys.. just went by to see the paint.... just got out the booth.. so itsstill fresh.. its dark and lighting is throwing it off...

and no it isnt WHITE....

its funny the paint is tripy..... with light hitting it it appears to be white and then fades away to the greyish blue green color... still needs to be cut and buff and detailing on some of the overspray.....

here is a example.. the garage light is on and you can see how it looks white in the rear and fades away to the actual color of the car....

i started installing the tail lights and seals but light is running out and im tired and sick..... i will be installing everything else then pulling the motor out this weeken di hope...

ok well i spent the day working on the coupe....

as you may know this was a EX-S( ABS EX ) meaning it had the works.... so i had to clear out the bay this is what i had to start with

pulled out the JDM D15B


here is what was left to clear out in the bay... all the MISC brake lines for the ABS/ harness etc

ok today i got a lil early from work and put some elbow grease in the bay

and scuffed up the bay with 100 grit to get the rough build up off

ok guys today o went at it for a few hours and threw 2 coats of paint... another 2 more later this week plus went sanding......

well since i am now on vacation ( which im taking to finish the car) i resprayed teh engine bay and cleared it.. i still need to wet sand it.....
i will wrap up the brake lines this week and try to drop the motor in this weekend...

on the built Z6 with the greddy kit on a map not tuned for the cam it pulled 8.6 at Irwindale..
this is a full weight EX w/ abs and all...
2" Downpipe and stock cat w/ exhaust also were still on the car during those runs

 

bought not built , then rebuilds it crew fellow member lol

i know the outcome will be sick foo!!!

already was.... but i will be redoing teh set up again when i rebuild teh Z6 this month... then do the entire bay after the car comes back
