My build, JDM H22A 94 LS Integra
<FONT SIZE="3">***New Pics on the last pg. & threw out the thread!***</FONT>

So I just picked up a super clean 94 LS and 92-96 JDM H22A with a spun rod bearing. There for Im going to have to rip the motor apart and rebuild the block before I can even think about dropping it into the Teg. Since I have to rip the motor apart Im going to go with the H23 stroker kit. This will enable me to go from a 90.7 mm stroke to a 95.0 mm stroke with just using the crank and rods from a H23. But as anyone should know, thats only the first of many options to do with my build.
AS of right now, the motor and the Teg are just sitting in the shop. But I am going to get started on my build this weekend and will take pics from start to finish. I am going to try and give as much info and pics as I can to help any of are fellow H-T members who want to go the same route as myself.
To start off I will post the specs of my motor, tranny & Chassie.

Haha...Thanks!
I actually did it in a eG coupe about 6 yrs ago and ever since then nothing I have owned has been able to compare to the power and trq of a stock "H" motor. Eventually I m going to H2B as well. But right now Im just going to focus on the motor its self.

Yes..yes, that and some SH pistons to bump the compression a lil just to start off with. This is going to be my daily driver, so I dont want to go to crazy. But in do time I would like to build it to be a low 12 sec daily beast.

I'm glad to see you sticking with the tranny too. </TD></TR></TABLE>
For now, but eventually I want to go H2B and try it out. I love hitting top end speeds late at night on frwy. So the H tranny is perfect for that, but I cant say sht about the H2B until I have tried it for myself.

Aw nuts! Haha. I guess I'm just "hard core."
At least you're not all "Man, f^#k the H tranny, because it's so hopeless. It's barely even worth going with the H series, because the tranny is the worst thing ever!"

Haha....With stock gearing the tranny is damn good for frwy racing, but as far as the track goes. I would go with a JDM R tranny w/ the 4.78 final drive. But you could always take the the stock H tranny and re-gear it.
Regardless though I have never seen anything wrong with the H tranny. When I did my first H swap in my coupe. There was no such thing as H2B and I still pulled a 12.9 at the track in my mildly built h22 civic coupe.

Haha...
Port n Polished head, runner flaps removed from the intake manifold and then ported as well. Velocity stack, header, SH tranny (LSD), Sh cams, sh pistons, cam gears, and custom 2.5 exhaust w/ collector. Street tuned with a custom made chip on my stock ecu.
You have to remember that way back then they didnt make sht for H motors. ***, Hasport didnt make a mount kit for it yet and I had to get a custom kit made from a company in Canada.
Here's some super old pics of my G ride. lol.

you can make them shift and gear them corectly, look at what Lookofski did with his. My stock US H22 swap wen 12.7's with a m2f4 tranny. I won't get into how many gears I missed and how often though

Was that in your teggy or another chassie???

Man, I take my hat off to you. Going where no man has gone before in that time.
And to your current build as well
.
Also, just out of curiosity, have any of you seen the sequential shifter that was available for the H? I would only see it practical for the track though. I hear that in conjunction with special gears you could have something deadly. No clutch, and no misshifting either.

thanks, and no I haven't seen one that works with a counter clockwise rotating motor.

Haha....Thanks bro!!!! Cheers to that
!!!
I havent heard or seen anything about the sequential shifter for a "H" tranny. But then again I havent done any research on it either. So thanks for bring that up, cuz now Im going to look int it. But ***, that would definitely be an insane setup.

Yeah, some dude on the Prelude forum came up with it. It's quite a neat little "gyro" looking thing. However, not many people bought it since well... it is kind of a hard core mod. I wouldn't want that for a daily driver IMO. I'll try to find you the link.
I found it. Hehe. It looks like a real good peice of engineering. The guy went through failed prototypes before coming to the final product. He was originally designing it for other cars that also had cable trannies, then he decided to make one for the ol' lude too.

Yeah, I think it's a real tide turner. It's got real potential, but I wish the guy updated us on wether or not he's gonna go through with manufacturing.
With much less delay between shifts, now who would be at a "dissadvantage"? I guess I lied when I said "available" though.
