Hi,

I have been trying to search these forums for some previous posts about this. here is the problem first:

2 months ago i replaced the original cluster with a new one (previous owner had "Glue'd" some gauges on top of the original ones) , everything was working fine for a day or two, then one night i turned on the lights and BOOM all the lights in the cluster and climate control went out, my radio works fine and lights up, but radio can not hold any memory anymore, all of the little "warning" lights and blinker lights inside the cluster works, just no "backlight" so i can't see my RPM's or MPH during night time driving.

all i can find is "similar" cases on Hondatech , but nothing that is close to what my problem is.

What i found on Hondatech and tried:

i check every fuse and they are all not blown, areas i have check'd included

- Under the hood where the big fuses are
- Under the steering wheel where the normal fuses are
- the one small fuse behind my stereo Unit (after market stereo)

i have also tried a known working cluster and same problem happens.

i have checked all the light bulbs and they are not burnt out.

My car is a 1994 Acura Integra GS-R

I kinda have a problem like that . my cluster isnt every bright . and i dont know if they should or shouldnt but the Rpms and the Mph and the needles dont light up eather ? Its a pain i cant stand it anymore . thanks guys

 

Try replacing the dimmer switch with a known good dimmer switch.

 

Should all of that light up or is it just how it is ?

 

got the same problem with my teg i check the voltage on the illumination pin and it was really low

 

is the illumination pin part of the dimmer switch?
