Here is a complete list of some very high-quality and readily available hand-detailing products. Most of these are available at local auto parts stores either off the shelf, or through special order. All other products can be ordered through internet retailers. Following this list will be an ordered step-by-step for exterior product use.

Very fine cut, combines best qualities of hand glaze and polish.
[_] Meguiars Hi-Tech Yellow Wax <FONT COLOR="red">M2616</FONT> - 16 oz - $13 (summer)
A thick, full carnanuba wax. High shine, easy on, medium off.
[_] Meguiars NXT Tech Wax <FONT COLOR="red">G12718</FONT> - 18 oz - $18 (winter)
A medium-thick, synthetic wax. Easy on/off in cold + high humidity.

A second wash after waxing. It's not a necessary RIGHT after thing, but it takes off any residue that you didn't get off, because compounds are generally pretty stubborn.

Here, I photshopped it the EXACT same settings I apply to my other pics:

Auto-Color
Auto-Level
Saturation +10
Brightness -3
Contrast + 10



Still pink from the pinstripe level (I removed the actual stripe) up. Oxidation ... booo.

looks good. i use a lot of the same products as well.

i think its pretty decent paint for a 10+ yr old car with original paint besides the 98-01 peices

good info.

Quesion, I had my front end fixed at the body shop recently, new bumper and fender, and obviously they are nice and shiny, unlike the rest of the car... i havent washed the car yet (its black) so maybe when i wash and wax it, it'll look fine, but I've had people say I should repaint the whole thing. What's the best thing to do after you have parts replaced? painting is expensivvveeeee!
