Ok i read the thread and im alittle confused. In a 5th Gen when you upgrade you must change the caliper and bracket but do you have do change the rotors ? Also what pads will you now be used NSX/Legend pads or prelude pads ? Lastly will NSX/Legend rear calipers fit ? (i know they do very little breaking i was just wondering)

since you have a 5th gen... you just stick with the VTEC size rotors you would normally use... so no.. you don't have to change the rotor to a different size that is...
the 2nd question... they should fit... but I think its just a complete waste of time and money doing so... you might end up finding that its almost the same (don't quote me on this).... the brake upgrade was ment for the front.... so yea..

actually it would be the same. read the brake article that was posted on here (maybe in faqs now i don't know)
basically the legend / nsx swap is only for ppl who don't have vtec sized brakes and/or want SOME weight savings. and only the nsx calipers will do this. dual piston might not always mean better braking.

i myself is running on nsx calipers, you will need vtec rotors or perhaps legend rotors. for the front caliper you will run the nsx piston with the prelude bracket, they will bolt right up. pads i suggest you upg those but you will be fine with any oem or aftermarket prelude spec brake pads. Lastly it would be useless to change out your rear, dont even bother.

sure it wasn't a fresh set of pads / recently bleed system?
[QUOTE=racerx]Legend/ NSX brake swap: This was long thought to be the factory big brake setup. In fact both have less caliper piston surface area than the factory 4th or 5th gen Preludes. This means less brake torque(see source at bottom) These calipers do have a benefit over stock in that the NSX clampers are a lighter alu alloy and both move the brake bias rearward some. Just swapping the calipers is not worth the trouble for most. You could add the Legend GS’s thicker rotors on your 5g for added brake heat capacity. Since the brakes were designed for a car 600lbs heavier than the Prelude’s, they can withstand a bit more heat. The rotors would have to be redrilled with a 4x114.5 bolt pattern to be used on the 4g or the 5g knuckles swapped in.

quoted from the faqs. i would say mimimal gains

real world vs online banter you decide.. i have gs calipers they rock my world when i hit 190 mph.. then again im ditching them for stop tech's soon

powerslot has a 12 inch rotor and caliper relocation kit for 450 that where my money would be spent if you think youll need more the oem with some kick *** pads. spend you money on a set of high performance pads first.
Actually, I need to revise that. 96-up Legends have the thicker rotors but they're also 1.8cm larger in diamiter. This may or maynot become an issue. The 95-96 Legends that got the twin pot calipers have the same part # as the 5g Ludes.
