How long do new tires feel like poop
I remember on one of the six thousand recent threads on tires, someone said new tires always ride like @$$. How long does this last. I got new tires (Yokohama YK420 205/50/15) and they feel like butt (it actualy feels like the car has body roll now, they kinda slide around), does it go away or do these tires just feel like butt.
Thanks

Depends on the tires now, doesn't it!
But seriosly, people say the RE 730's feel better after 1.5k miles or so....others say they simply suck!
go figure
Upping the tire pressure a bit might help somewhat. ed

Usually about 500 km of driving.
Find a parking lot and do figure 8's for about 1/2 an hour - or do an autocross - that will work them in faster

Also, check your pressures. When you change brands/sizes/etc. you will have to adjust pressures. For example, for a 205/50/15 Kumho 712's I ran around 40psi and the 205/50/15 Azensis's I run around 35psi. (But we all know the Azensis are actually wider than they say.)
