Default Not a Honda, but thought you might like the fab- it lives! CRAPPY VIDS POSTED

Hey everybody, this isn't a Honda, but a lot of the principles are the same, it's all metal anyway...

I lurk here a lot from my other forums, here's a look at what I've been working on.
Leave some comments and let me know what you think!

In an effort to keep the picture loading down, I'm going to post the main link to the original thread at Neons.org If any of you latecomers want to see the entire build-up, go here: http://forums.neons.org/viewtopic.php?t=254466

I will however, continue to post updates in this thread.

Man you'd think if I hired a cameraman he would have done a better job.

thanks for the comments so far, the pictures here represent since the beginning of May, so I've been working on it for awhile.

and yes I do like my faithful neon. damn thing refuses to die

I beat on it N/A with bolt ons about 4 years ago. Then I beat on it with my custom turbo system on 10psi poorly tuned for two years, and I just did a compression check, all above 190 across the board. I'm going to start calling it old faithful

This pulley setup will yeild about 13psi, so if it doesn't blow with this I'll be extremely suprised

Stock bottom end, has about 110,000 miles on it.

thanks
Sky

Nice work. a little tip on the pictures, try setting it on a timer, and NOT using flash, they will come out ALOT better, for those close up shots

Ya, my buddy had a neon, and he drove the crap out of that car, redlining it EVERYWHERE, that was a couple years ago, and to this day, I still see the kid who bought it off him, rippin around... I was VERY impressed with the little engine in her.. 2.2 I believe?

i personally hate all neons....

but i ******* love custom work. and i have much love for people who stick by their cars and do different things. this is bad ***.

how much was that tig welder and how good has it been treating you?

im about to sell all my welding machines to buy one tig welder cause the need to weld aluminum is just overwhelming me now...

Thanks again for the comments guys, I'm having a lot of fun putting this thing together.

the TIG welder I'm using was only about $600.00 online, but it only welds DC not AC so it won't do aluminum. works great in conjunction with the plasma cutter though pretty much does everything I want it to do.

Actually the motor in these cars is a 2.0L

To the two people who PM'd me, apparently because I'm new it will allow me to recieve pm's but not reply to them. So to those two people- The TIG welder is a 220V - and I have definitely wanted to go with a better custom radiator setup, but this project is being done on a strict budget because all my extra money is going to pay off a bunch of bills. You know, doing the responsible thing

thanks again guys and I'll try to keep this thread updated with my progress.

Check the pics at the top with the turbo kit. I spent two days cleaning the engine bay for that setup. Looked really nice.

Then I moved over here and had to start driving the car daily. Went through one winter and it looked like crap!

sucks...

YOUR A SAVAGE FOR FLIPPING A NEON! Good concept on the fab and mock up. Can you make the claim of SRT Killer yet?

eh, I doubt I'll be able to beat modified SRT's. This is mainly being built just to get more torque to make it more fun to drive. I'll be happy if I get 200whp.

Although, I did get the base model for a reason, the car weighs in at 2300lbs with me in it! This car didn't even come with a passenger side mirror, just a block off plate
