Default Center Console Swap

I want to swap out the center console in my 88 wagon with a console from an 88CRX, all the way from the emergency brake up to the heating and airconditioning controls, would I have to swap out the whole dash to do this? Or could I just tweak it a little bit to work?

Yeah the dash will need to be done too, the CRX's has an angle toward the driver as you probably already know. If you don't swap it for a CRX dash, there will be gaps and it will look very ghetto and half-butt.

check out hondacivicwagon.com for the forums.

here this guy did a hybrid dash swap. but another guy said it is not necessary. for the hybridization.

dunno if you need the dash though. but it is true. CRXs do tilt toward the driver.

how well did it bolt in? I used to have a Civic ek and there is some metal behind it to bolt to. but the EF doesnt have the metal underneath the center console. so what is holding that stuff in place?

nothing really i just took the center medtal piece inside and glue it to the front piece. and i cut the front of the center on the 98 to fit nothing is really holding it in place it sit very well plus the medal in the back keeps it from moving side to side and it doesn't move AT ALL.

o yea i also had to take the lower piece of the ef's center peice

what is the point of putting a huge *** tach in your car when you already have one in the cluster?
