Default So my DA decided to die on me while driving... wth?!

Yeah, so I'm driving, and suddenly the entire car SHUTS down....

No lights are lighting from the cluster. I checked most of the wires... snug fitted. The battery isn't loose... I can't think of any other reason what's going on...

I wanna mention that my dizzy rotor was going bad before all this happened.... could this be it?

Or could it be a bad relay? I need some ideas so I can check up on it.

ANY help is greatly appreciated.

-Will

you check the voltage on the battery? also... my moms cr-v use to die while driving. turned out it was a recall on the ignition. brought it into honda and it was good to go once replaced.

Im assuming you know that its not the alternator? Did you car simply shut off immediately with all the accessories? Or did it take a short while?

replace your rotor...if that doesnt fix it, check your underhood fuses...

my alt was shorting out causing my main batt fuse to blow

check the plug on the alternator, mine came loose and it did the same thing. Do you loose your presets on the radio when it shuts off?

Based on just the OPs first post, I would say its the alt. Hopefully he checked that; that would be the most obvious thing. I dont know how a bad rotor would make the whole car shut off though lol.

but if his rotor spins freely in the Dizzy, the battery can still get voltage to the lights....

+2 for alternator issue
