IDLE PROBLEMS with my Stock 1988 CRX Motor!
Can anyone tell me why my motor's reving up and down all the time??? It has always been that way since I swapped it out with a DX motor...I was told that the CRX I own is an HF and the motor I bought was a DX is there also a way to Identify???I can try and post pictures if need be or can someone tell me what to look for to be able to tell the model of car I have and motor I bought?
I replaced it and now it works but I still have a code 14 because of an open somewhere....thanks for the help.

I have had the cover off looking for a vacuum leak but I can never find anything...oh and thanks for the Engine locate...any ideas about the idling if it isn't a vaccuum leak thats visible?
Try spraying carb cleaner around everywhere, if you find somewhere it hits that spots the jumping then that's where the leak is.
You can also remove and clean out you IACV, but Iono where that is with DPFI.

The picture on the bottom is Identical and I think it may be that part already....if I take pictures of the vacuum lines do you think you can spot something that isn't right? I can send them through email if you'd like becuase I am not real sure on being able to post them on here. What is the DPFI because someone mentioned to me before that the Electronic Air Control Valve could be what it is, but I don't know where to get a hold of one. Is that usually a dealer Item??

Ok so I changed out the EACV and I am still getting a CODE 14 from my ECU.....The Car no longer Idles up and down so thanks for the help, now how do I get rid of the Check engine light and the 14 light flashes from my ECU? I have disconnected my battery and even taken out the fuse at the same time trying to reset the ECU, and let it sit with no power for 15 minutes, CODE 14 doesn't go away. Can anyone help with this? Is it possible that the used EACV that I installed is good enough to keep the engine at a steady idle but not doing what it's supposed to as per the ECU???
Also..... I notice that when the car starts it sounds great, and a the idle is at around 1,000 RPM, then as soon as the Check engine light turns on (which is about 4 seconds after) the idle RPM's drop to about 800 or so..
<U>I found out that the EACV isn't the problem there's a short present between Fuse 14 and the Eacv somewhere thats why my ECU is still giving me a Code 14.
