Default GSR vs ITR muffler

currently i have a GSR muffler bolted to my RSR bpipe for a stock look, is it too restrictive? would an ITR muffler make a noticeable diff in performance?

I have another question. Is the ITR Exhaust pipe and GS-R Exhaust pipe different? If so, what's the difference?

I was told that the difference between the GSR and ITR is the internals*
I have a question also I am going to put a ITR exhaust on my GSR and I wonder is it worth it?

not only that, GSR has 2 inch crushbent piping while ITR has 2.25 mandrel bent, but i was just wondering if muffler would make such a difference.

If I wanted to put an ITR Bpipe in my 4door integra LS, where would I have to extend the pipe? thanks

Muffler is not 30% better. Its the whole exhaust system combined, header/cat/cat-back that makes it 30% better than a GSR.

get a different muffler, your gsr muffler will be restricting it...i wouldnt get a type r tho...just buy a nice quiet aftermarket axleback like the apexi ws, looks stock, quiet.

If the "R" muffler/exhaust is larger in diameter the whole way back, then of course it is going to have at least 30% more flow. It is simple fluids flow!!

THe ITR is about 2", not 2.25". And a GSR is about 1.75" I know this because i have personally measured. ITR exhause is nice for the street, but very restrictive.

I just put an ITR muffler on my LS. It bolted right up, but I've heard the exhaust parts are a little different on 4 doors and GS-R's, so I don't know about them. I wont have my ITR b-pipe until I pick it up at UPS tomorrow morning, but the muffler alone seems to make a slight improvement. I expect that I won't see the full benefit until I get my ITR b-pipe and DC 4-2-1.

Comparing the LS and Type-R mufflers, they are almost exactly the same size/shape, but the Type-R has a nice looking tip, stainless steel mandrel bent piping, and the internal enhancements (I've seen several articles about those). Here's some side-by-side pics:

Wow coo pics Weston...that ITR muffler looks mighty swell!

BTW is there a difference between LS exhaust and GSR? So would it be worth it to swap my 95 LS muffler in favor of my friend's 95 GSR muffler? He said he'll give it to me for free if I want it
