Hey. Just wondering if anyone has replaced any serious a/c parts, like the condenser. Mine is shot. Haynes makes it look relatively easy. I believe the rest of the system is ok, missing R12, of course.The condenser has a hole in it and as far as I know, all the R12 leaked out of it. SHould I have the system discharged anyway, before disassembling anything? Thanks for any advice. Also, what should a recharge cost, more or less? Mine is a 1987 teg LS. 245,000 miles and it is getting hot outside.
