Default exhaust ground clearance

So I have a totally stock 97 sh and in the near future I want to get i/h/e. I want a ws2 exhaust but have heard that they have pretty low ground clearance. I live in northwest PA, the roads are soooo shitty, esp in Erie because of all the salt they have to use in the winter. If the ws2 is real low I defly won't get it because I'll prolly end up ripping it off or scratching it to hell. If you think it's too low for my situation what would be a good exhaust for performance and sound that wouldn't be too low. Thanks for any help.

WS2 is low but it scrapes when you pass the speed bump only, normal driving should be ok.

If there's a lot of salt on the roads where you live, I wouldn't get the WS2. Based on the fact that the exhaust isn't stainless steel and salt could rust it out pretty quickly.

If I don't get the ws2 what is another good exhaust to get? I guess I'm going to want one that is stainless, I also want one that isn't too loud and doesn't look like rice.

i have a ws2 on my 2000 type sh, i live up in canada and in my city, the roads are pretty shitty, if your at stock height, dont worry about it too much, the only thing that hangs low on it is the resonator and the only times i have scraped that is when i go up stupidly sharp driveways and huge bumps on very uneven almost off-road areas. im pretty sure it wont be too bad, plus some people have got an exhaust shop to redo the hangers so it hangs higher. im not driving my car in winter so i dont know about the rust thing.

if you still dont want it, another option is the rsr exmag, its been compared to the ws2 A LOT of times, search and you will find out more info.

That link is a good reference, but I didn't really find anything specific for what I'm looking to find. Anybody else have some help for me?

I guess the exmag is going to be coming out in stainless sometime, does anybody know when they are going to re-release the series? I hear they are a good exhaust.

Tanabe makes a SS catback similar to the WS2. I have the WS2 on my 99sh and its lowered 1.7 and it scrapes over lots of ****. Stock should be fine tho unless you go off roading.

i got the WS2 and im lowered 2-2.25" and i'm in jersey, so the roads are comparable. i only really scrape the resonator, nothing to worry about.

altho it is starting to rust after about a year and a half of being daily driven

rsr exmag is also HIGHLY recommended

why not just get a cust one made. it will sit where you want and you can still put a resonator on it and will be alot cheaper, just make sure they can mandral bend it
