1994 Accord EX Coupe RACE CAR (street legal) Roll cage, recaro. ULTIMATE PROJECT CAR!!
Located in Bristol, CT
VIN JHMCD7150RC000014 (notice the VERY low VIN #)
$3,200 or best offer This price includes the spare wheels, transmission and some other parts too.
I am in college so I will not have time or money to work on or drive this car anymore. I absolutely love this car. I have driven many many cars and this is definitely one of the most fun cars I have ever driven.
It is a white 94 Accord EX 2 door. 5 speed, F22b1 SOHC VTEC motor.
26,027 miles is on the odometer right now (which does reflect the mileage on the motor).
This car was in the SPEED World Challenge back in the day. All the modifications were done by a professional race team, HART (Honda of America Race Team). The car looks deceptively stock on the outside. Before it was a race car, it was a durability testing car for Honda.
Under the hood
-F22B1 SOHC VTEC - It looks completely stock. The compression has been upped a bit and the cam is more aggressive than stock.
-Custom exhaust with Borla muffler and high flow cat (to make it street legal in this state). It sounds AWESOME. The idle is a very nice low rumble but when revved up, it is loud.
-Engine management system. EFI Systems PMS. It is fully tuned and works great. Can be tuned for N2O or a turbo if necessary. I have the manuals for it.
-Oil and filter was changed every 1500-2000 miles with Mobil 1 ever since the motor was new.
The motor makes noticably more power than stock. I would swap a H22a in but it is not worth such a small gain in HP. If I had the money I would turbo, or preferrably, supercharge the F22b1. It is, in my opinion, the best 90's Honda motor for forced induction.
Chassis
-Koni Yellow shocks with Eibach springs.
-Comptech front sway bar.
-Custom made NASCAR style rear sway bar. This rear sway bar helps tremendously. It is made of aluminum and is adjsutable. It is a very unique sway bar. You can't buy one like this.
-6 point custom made roll cage. Chromoly steel. Unbelievable cage. Very unobtrusive. It is very easy to get in and out of either seat. The roll cage is built to go through the dashboard instead of in front of it. It almost looks stock.
-Speedline Corse magnesium wheels, 15" (black). These wheels are VERY light. You cannot find these wheels anywhere. The tires are worn out. The car right now is sitting on a spare set of alloys with snow tires on them. Both sets of wheels will be included. (Speedline wheels are not the ones pictured)
This is the best handling FWD car I have ever driven. It is neutral, predictable and very easy to control.
Interior
-Recaro seat. The seat cover is a bit worn but the seat still feels very nice and holds you in securely. I have had a hard time finding a replacement cover.
-Autopower 5 point harness. It is old and should be replaced.
-Battery killswitch
-Almost all of the interior is in there except the drivers door panel and the side panel on the left side in the rear.
Even though I have not even put a scratch on the car since I bought it, it has been in a lot of wheel to wheel races and the body shows it. Racing is rubbing and the battle scars are evident of that. The paint is not too bad but the body is a bit rough. This car is so fun to drive that I didn't care how it looked. As long as it looks fine from 20+ feet away.
I really hate to see the car go. If I had the time and resources, I would do something with it. I don't so it would be a waste to just let it sit in my garage.
Some pics are sold, some are new.
This pic is with the generic alloy wheels. The Speedline wheels are black.

I currently have the back seat installed. Not that it's very functional, it just looks better.

Thanks. I love it.
The way the cage was installed makes it very easy to get in an out of the car. The bars are very unobtrusive.

I don't log on to this site very often so it would be better to email me with any questions on the car. My address is asimo8@gmail.com
The car is still for sale. I may have time to take more pictures in the coming weeks.
