Default 1st, 3rd and 5th- short shift? Strange Problem!

Basically, when I shift my car into 1st, 3rd or 5th, it takes like half an inch to get into gear. Now, that sounds great and all, from a short shifting perspective, however, 2nd, 4th, and reverse feel normal- by normal I mean that it takes maybe 3/4 or 1 inch throw to put it into gear. Its really sketching me out, because Im worried that maybe something is about to go in my tranny, or maybe my shift linkage got blessed by some poulter gheist. Regardless, have any of you guys ever experienced this happening? Any suggestions/theories are welcome. Thanks

I've had something like this happen once in a friend 94 integra. Turned out we had put the shifter in backwards lol. It also explains why it was so forward in the dash.

heh- I kinda did that when I put my shift linkage back on after my b16 swap... But it's installed correctly now... I think... Does anybody think that its possible that my shifter bushing wore out and is causing the problem?
