Stock Front Brakes with Rear DA Discs 1725 or 2040 Prop Valve ?
Numerous posts document the fact that Del Sol 4 wheel disc brake setups use the 1725 proportioning valves. The 1991 CRX Si 4 wheels disc brakes uses the 2040 Prop valve. It is reported that using the 4040 for stock fronts and upgraded rear discs is not recommended.
So which prop valve do I use?

i didnt know the del sol had a 1725, nor did i know it even had rear discs.
the si with the 2040 also has slightly bigger front piston caliper. but even still, id use that if you have rear discs.

I was researching a lot on proportioning valves and the Del Sol guys mentioned they had the 1725 valve on their 4 disc brake setups as OEM stock.
i have a 90 dx with the 94 teg rear swap, and stock crx disc up front. i swapped in the 94 teg booster and 1" master clinder and use the 40/40 with no problems. stops like a dream that you would not believe

Nothing wrong with giving people the correct information to avoid confusion.

but its not like it maters they are the same numbers with a slash in there 4040 and 40/40 mean the same thing it is spliting hence the slash the presure 4040 to the front and rear
but its not!
wtf does 40/40 mean? nothing!
unless you can decipher the meaning behind 1725, 3030, 3040 and 4040, then go right ahead and tell us. none of us have figured it out other than looking at trends, which in total arent consistent. hell, the OP question proves that.
thats why its wrong.
40/40 is jayZ's nyc club.

The reason why I ask is that the 4040 was meant for an integra that has 10.3 front and 9 3/8 in the rear.
The CRX Si came with the 2040 With 9.5 in the front and 9 3/8 in the rear.
The Del Sol came with the 1725 with the 9.5 in the front and 9 3/8 in the rear.
Now I have a Civic Si with a stock 1725 with 9.5 in the front and would like to swith to the 9 3/8 integra, would it make sense not to change the prop valve since the Del Sol has it factory 1725?
Cheers you guy, and thanks.
