hey, im interested in purchasing a used s2000. what year model would be fastest, best turning, and/or best overall?

i already used the search button and couldn't find anything relevant of what i want to know. the closest answers to my questions would be the 01 vs 04 thread, but it only compared the 01 to the 04. i also would like a more in depth analysis besides "test drive them for yourself" if thats not too hard to ask. i don't like test driving a bunch of cars and not buying any of them. and i did read the stickies, which you are porbably referring to as 'use the search button' which i also did

 

There is no fastest/best handling year. They all perform the same. I highly doubt you will even be able to take the car to its full potential in terms of handling, not many can. The number is very small.

That being said... Differences come into play between years, mainly AP1 vs AP2. You read the 01 vs 04 thread so you know the differences. Now which one is better? You will have to go look at and drive each to find out. I suggest driving an 02-03, then an 04-05, and finally an 06. Then decide which you like best.
