you have to cut your bumper support and install a bracket that hang from each side of the intercooler to the bumper support (or what's left os it)

I have the Type 24 on my GSR. I just removed the whole bumper support. The IC bolts to the top in the middle with the supplied bracket, and 2 holes in the radiator support where the bumper normally bolts up. The hot pipe on the inlet side bolts to the tow hook.

So how do you bolt your bumper back on?

You just use the top 9-10 bolts and the 2 screws on the sides. I used a couple of self-tapping screws to hold the bottom of the bumper back up so i could get some more ground clearance.

Sounds good thats what i was looking for....Is there any draw back to taking out the bumper support? will you have trouble remounting the bumper back on?
Got any pics with the bumper on with IC?

hmm...no bumper support,... kinda sounds dangerous! I'd rather have a small spearco that mounts underneath the support then have a big *** intercooler that eliminates the bumper support.

the bumper support is just the 5mph support, if you crash (God forbid) going 50mph, the damage will be nearly the same w/ or w/o that bumper support

maybe thats why the honda decided to change the front ends here, the jdm ones dont have that bumper support, instead its just a small piece of metal about 1" thick

Here is a pis on a 99 GSR:

And here's a pic on a 96 GSR:

As for efficiency vs. the Spearco intercooler, I have no idea. I also don't know the Spearco's dimensions. This is the only intercooler I've ever used
