Default New manifold feedback wanted.

we just came up with a new design. its called the jenna jamison cuz its pure sex lol. able to fit at least a 4in down pipe. right now its just a prototype. were going to work on the runner length alittle more to make them alittle closer to equal length and have some flow #'s soon.
runner lengths are 4-15", 3-21", 2-14", 1-17"

right now its not able to fit in a crx although it was not intended to be. with a few tweaks it will fit though.

the first turbo is a hx35 and second is a 57 trim

UPDATE 7/28

josh finished it up last night.

i would angle runner #1 in more toward the collector right off the head flange so that you have more room for the piping coming off the cold side of the turbo.

it looks like it sticks out quite far from the head. you might want to think about adding a gusset or two between the runners and the collector for support.

looks like the turbo sits a bit on the high side. That will burn the hood.

Yeah I dont think thats going to work because it sits to far out from the motor.... I think you are going to have a problem with it hitting that radiator support

we put it in a crx last night, the manifold fit we just need to move the flange towards the passenger side alittle more to fit a big turbo. its going to fit the integra just wondering if its maybe to high with a hx 35 on it.

Can you run a radiator support, headlights, and front bumper with that? Or is that just made for custom 1-pc front ends...

i dont want to be critical about this but you made a top mount... whats is different or new about it? not bashing, i'm just curious as to what you feel the difference is between this and others? some feedback would be to try and not to get all flow numbers about it because these things are usually made with the "if it fits it works mentality" like all others, so try to be honest about that.

i know everyone does the lets be sneeky and advertise using threads... but how many bmc engraved company logos do we really need to see? avoid the salesman pitch... chasis, length of runners & flow numbers because its an obviously cheap(bad) attempt at advertising on this board. you should especially avoid it on this part of the board, where hype doesnt get you very far at all...

just my .02 but maybe they're a little on the frustrated side right now ;-)...

good effort but dont pretend to be something you're not

Isn't the purpose of having a topmount so that the runners are equal length as well.... this is far from that.

Just another CC-Fab creation that is designed to sell and not actually create "good" power.

I also agree w/ CarTunr22.... it is time to get into manifold making. Which means that you might actually have to cut your own deg bends to get "good" flow. Not just yours, but I am personally tired of seeing these half *** manifolds that are all hyped up pieces of crap.

If you look closely it looks like they put some attempt at beveling the edges. Id like to see some pics installed on a veichle.

IMO there could have been more thought put into the placement and bends involved in each runner. Manifold looks very square considering where the turbo is in relation to the Head.

Also after further evaluation it appeares the turbo's flange is not level with the head. (picture #2) Doesn't have to be within .1* but just like a picture if the horizon is not dramatically off level it just looks un professional.

Pictures #3-6 & #8-9 make me wonder why the collector is not pointing straight up. Has the illusion that you started with runner #3 and modified the rest of the design to fit.

Are the straight sections of tubing the same wall thickness as the weld els?

good luck!

i was always under the impression that topmounts were designed to maintain a very very close tolerence to equal length, plus allow room for bigger turbos and down pipes for more of the street/race guys.

And lately it seems like all the top mounts are for the style. Half of the new ones made now aren't even close to having equal length runners

the purpose of a top mount is to be near equal length but also be able to run a 4" down pipe. if you want equal length buy a ramhorn. i took the flange pic out b/c i did not know it would get your panties in a bunch. this was not an add at all. we had no intention of selling this manifold it was just for personal use im sorry if that's how you took it. thanks for the feed back

because nothing is welded yet, nothing is even clean yet. the manifold design was not set in stone.
