Wow looks kick ***. I was just pondering about turboing my F22, it's completely stock now and I've been thinking about getting a new car (3000gt) for some more power, but if I can do it to my car to get an extra lil kick, why not? And a whoel turbo kit goes for around 1,000 which is much cheaper than a whole 3000gt that has mad maintenance issues. How long did this take for you to do? And where'd you learn how to do it, I'm a completely newbie to this whole "owning a car" scene, this is my first car. Thanks for any help you can provide with information for turboing my accord

i got the kit from a friend but i can ask him about it. if you ask around you might be able to pick one up because mine got stolen early this morning.

it might be a bit harder to find a whole turbo kit for 1k but its def less than a 3kgt. the intercooler took a few hours because we had to cut some stuff to get it to fit. as far as learning to do it, i guess basic mechanical knowledge and some friends who have done it before so you can watch and pick up on stuff. my friends nick and ethan turboed nick's civic so they have a pretty good idea of what is going on. the install is probably going to be next weekend now that i have the final piece. i just wanted to get some of the work out of the way so it wouldnt be too much of a job. id say we can get it done in 1-2 days. the only reason its not being put on right now is because my friend's h22 came in before my manifold so we are all swapping that into his prelude.

my friend's dad had the idea of the **** relocation to there.. he just went crazy on it after that.. its not done yet like i said we will have another piece over it to clean it up. as for the IC... my buddy justin said that until we tried to fit it in we had to cut the bumper support a bit and a lot of the bumper cover.

thanks for the positive feedback and ill keep you guys updated.

ok so over the last 2 days we got started.

heres how i mounted the intercooler

had to hack the bottom of the bumper support

random in progress picture

60 trim doesnt fit well with the front torque mount.. Customized!

mounted!

and you better believe im keeping AC in.

Yesterday we mounted the manifold and turbo and connected half of the charge piping.

Today we ran the oil feed, swapped to the pretapped oil pan, put in the greddy oil block plate, swapped the spark plugs, swapped the fuel injectors, and started on the prefab for the downpipe.

All thats left really is fabbing the downpipe/dump tupe and charge piping, swapping to the chipped ecu, running the oil return, hooking up the new o2 sensor, finish running vacuum lines, and uhh.. i might be forgetting something but we arnt too far away.. we may have it finished by the weekend.

damn, good job with the build. and im sorry to hear your car got broken into and your deck jacked. and to make it worse they were ******* amateurs and broke your window, the older hondas are so easy to get into with just a screw driver.

Every now and then I think about throwing my f22 back in and boosting but then I think about the gay rpm range it has for boost. Im very mild n/a right now and love it for the track. if anything i will boost the H.

I almost miss boost (mine was 325whp H22)

No way you get a filter on that turbo unless you cut your hood. I woudn't worry about it though, I ran my for a year+ without a filter and didn't have any probs
