i have done this to my 89 hatch.... first of all yes you will have fitment issue.. but to start wid this project.. you will need the center console skeleton frame from a crx to perform this mod.... and you can go from there... you will have gaps above... im still trying to find a mod to fill in the gap... HTH

 

I see, guess i should just pick up a Civic Si console, i found a CRX one cheap and thought it might be interchangeable.

Do you have a picture of the gap? I can probably live with it if it's not stupid huge, better than looking at an open floorboard.

 

dude just change over the entire dash. the best interior mod i ever did to my STD

you get a clock too, the wiring is all there from the STD.

same year CRX dashboard is bolt-in with the exception of the bottom-center bold that doesn't reach the STD mount because of the laid back console. I have pics of mine somewhere but I'll never find them.

If i had the money, i probably would convert, it's nicer. Just something that i've always hated that i want to change, i don't mind the dash, i just hate i don't have a center console, or carpeted doors, or not cheap and shitty seats...

 

but ya if you want a center console you could swap in a DC2 (94-01) Integra center console or you'll have to swap the entire CRX dash. (meaning dash and center console or else it won't work) either way IMO both are very nice

Yea, i used to have a DC one on my hatch. Actually the "Si" pic is one from a DC teg.

correct & you can't use the crx console in a hatch without doing the whole dash swap NO MORE QUESTIONS!

My Si has a piece that goes around the shifter along with a boot but it seems I am missing something that goes between the ashtray/cigarette lighter and the floor. Is there a piece that goes there? Kinda like a coin platform for misc items like the CRX?

yes there is something that goes there but it was a dealer option
here is a pic
it joins both of those pieces together

this is one I have & it's still brand new never installed

Ok, so the dealer has this for the civic as well? How much did it run and would majestic honda have it ya think?

 

NOPE! not anymore I have one of the last ones that were availible from honda in canada believe it or not they still had them in stock until some guy here on h-t bought all of them & sold them here on h-t these things cannot be found through any honda dealer anymore

 

Stick with the OEM Std. boot!
