Custom Gauge Cluster with Autometer gauges for Integra
OK, well... I am taking out my gauge cluster because i have no need for the tach (since I have an autometer one), i have no need for the coolant temp (replaced as well), and the indicator lights do me no good with my standlone engine management. Now, my question is... I want a cluster made from CF or Aluminum/Tin that will hold an autometer speedometer (with odomoter and possible trip meter built in), an autometer boost gauge, and an autometer air/fuel gauge. I plan on putting the fuel level gauge where the cruise control button was if i can somehow fit it. Can anyone help? Is something like this already available? Thank you.

PS- If anyone has replaced their gauge cluster, please post a pic and let me see what you've done so i can get some ideas. I was thinking a simple speedometer in the middle and a gauge on each side. Plain, Simple, and Effective. Thanks in advance for your ideas and help.

I know that Autometer came out with a guage cluster for the newer Mustangs, not sure if they plan on releasing an import cluster or not? I would say since you already have all the guages, it wouldn't make sense to by a pre fabbed unit. I know someone who has the guage setup you are considering, he ordered a piece of anodized aluminum and had it cut at a local machine shop. You could take the aluminum to a machine shop to form the shape, and do any final tweaking with a Dremel. I think it would look bad *** if you got it done
Thanks for the info. I've seen the mustang one and that's where I first got the idea. I was hoping some company made a cluster "frame" that I could simply install my guages in and bolt right in without any custom work... but... i found a machine shop that said if i give them my old cluster and the new gauges they will do everything involved to make it a perfect fit. I'll be going up there this week unless I hear of another method of doing this. Again, if any of you have a gauge cluster aside from an OEM or Spoon unit, please post some pics. Thanks again

I'd go with an aluminum sheet (.090 thick or maybe .063 thick stock 6061) for mounting the gauges on. As far as placement goes, its really up to you - be creative, though put the most useful gauges for you in the center area...and the others where they best fit. The only problem is the small space you have to deal with on the stock guage pod area. Since mine is going to be a full blown racecar I have it easier - There is no dash currently in the car, but I'm going to custom make one out of aluminum sheet and put in Autometer Tach, oil pressure, water temp, and voltage guages. I don't think there should be any problem putting the fuel level guage in the cruise control location, just take off the dash cover and cut out to the required diameter - use a hole saw to get close to the needed diameter. I'm sure others on this board have ideas on how to make it look nice.
BTW, what engine management system are you using? I'm planning on getting rid of the Honda system and installing a Holley Commander 950 along with a full MSD ignition system setup.

I have the triple pillar replacement with my oil pressure, coolant temp, and exhaust gas temp. my tach is in the middle of the dash in front of the clock on that flat area tilted and turned toward me. my speedometer will be going in the middle of the gaue cluster area on the new "thing" with the air/fuel on its left and the boost gauge on its right. fuel, like i said, will go where my cruise button was and i have a start button where my dimmer was. I would just replace the dash with a sheet of aluminum, but i'm not ready for that stage *yet* since this is my daily driver until I can win enough money racing to buy a beater... or save up for a slightly used chevy 454 ss pickup... i figure i'll need a tow vehicle within a year, so this would be a fun one for starters (until I can afford a 350 turbo diesel that is). I'm running a fully built b16a3 (jdm sir) with a customer turbo kit and dfi engine management system. The engine is done right, no corners cut and only the best parts were used in it. It's sure to be a beast on the track, but not a fully fledged drag car until i can buy a beater.

Pretty sweet setup. I was thinking about doing that when i saw the autometer gauge cluster. But it's my daily driver and not at that stage yet. It would look good and serve a purpose in your case. Good luck.

Some guy was selling something like you are looking for on ebay that was previously used on a track caar. They had a Carbon fiber replacement for the gauge cluster, had one hole in the middle already cut out for a tach. Had space on each side. Actually now that I think of it, it may have been for an EK, but I'll see if I can find it again...
do me a favor, if you get those specs used on fabricating that out of aluminum please send em to me so I can go straight to a shop with them and get them made
I let my installer put in my indiglo's and he glued them, it was 97 degrees last week and my fuel guage has been on full ever since
LMAO
time for a new cluster but what you said sounds way cooler

yeah.... you need some SUPER KILLER TOUGH glue to withstand the heat.... most people use double side tape. If i get this done I will post some pics. I'm guessing it will cost less than $100 just for the piece to be cut and fab'ed, but the damn autometer speedometer and sending unit are pretty high. You might be better off just getting another OEM cluster. I'm guessin to duplicate OEM with autometer like this would run you over $500 easy... without the tach.
