what FULL coilover set do you have?
Im lookin into buying some a new suspension setup and wanting to go full coilover, what set/brand should i get? Im wanting something that i can ride low with but can also keep a nice ride.. I like a nice comfortable ride, so im not sure exactly what im lookin for. Please tell me what you're using and how it rides. im lookin for something a lil more comfort than track.
I have a set of Function Form coilovers. They are very nice, but it is a bit stiff for daily driving (13K-F/8K-R) spring rates. If you have the shocks turned all the way down, it's tolerable. I really don't mind the stiffness, but if you want to know forsure, try to find someone that has a set and take it for a spin.
F2 also does custom springs rates at no charge (within 6k-16K rates, I believe-you might have to check on that), so that could simplify things for you.
They have dual perch settings (height and spring rate dependent). So you can drop the car pretty aggressively without compromising your shock travel. I have my 4th gen lowered about 2.75-3".

i have d2's
set almost all the way down only about 4 or 5 turns from the bottom. ride is alot stiffer than stock. but rides very well. daily driven over chicago potholes
i think spring rates are like 9k/11k
aluminum body, "36 way adjustable" .. dont really think all 36 clicks actually do anything but.. nice piece for the money..

i want something that i can ride COMFORTABLY and lower the **** out of it, I'd like the front tobe tucked BARELY that low is what im talking about but dont wanna be bottomin out and want it to ride comfortably..is this possible if so what do i want? what setup and what spring rate

F2's, D2's, Ksports have all had pretty good reviews. In the end, I think they're all very similar to each other. Just pick one you think is best for you and/or best for your wallet.
D2s here. Stiffer than my friends Corvette, but still a very nice ride.
They won't go any lower than about a 1/2" wheel gap up front, but the rears will go so low you can't even bolt the suspension back together.

How are the D2's compared to say the Koni Yellow with GC coil setup? Just curious cause people here praise the Koni/GC's and I still have stock but would like to hear more about full coilover setup's.

Not that the D2's are junk, but the quality of the Koni internals /GC Sleeves/Eibach Race Springs is much better than the D2. Warranty and customer service is better with both Koni and GC too.
And if you ever choose to track the car, you can easily upgrade the valving and springs to meet your needs without having to buy a whole new setup. Koni has a lot of experience with setups for Hondas. Koni/GC is win-win in my book. the D2's seem like a good budget suspension if you just want a convenient suspension upgrade that doesn't cost too much.

Well, they're a lot better than my old setup of Tokico blues and Eibach springs...but that's not saying much.

my friends was really bouncy, until we swapped in some 9 k / 7 k springs and then it was tolerable.

if you have seen the shock dyno comparison, basically, no coilover system (within the general public's reach) is comparable to revalved koni/gc
they tried many types of tein, tanabe, apexi, buddy club ( i think), jic.....with gc/koni still beating them all

has there been a shock dyno comparison or whatever done on the d2 coilovers? it's a toss up between gc/koni yellow and d2 for me and if i coudl get charts on them both to compare... another downside to D2 is that what am I going to do if I blow a shock and need a new one, it'll be a pain in the *** to find a new one right? since D2 is an australian company... Koni yellow replacement can be had at just about anywhere.. decisions decisions...
