Ok I got this transmission in an S1 case was told it was a B16 S1 so had it apart just checking the synchros and decided to count the teeth to figure the gear ratios.

Gear ---- Main Shaft Teeth---- Counter Shaft Teeth ---- Gear Ratios
1st---- -- 12 ---- ---- 39 ---- ---- 3.25
2nd---- -- 19 ---- ---- 39 ---- ---- 2.05
3rd ---- -- 24 ---- ----- 34 ---- ----- 1.41
4th ---- --29 ---- ----- 32 ---- ----- 1.10
5th ---- -- 32 ---- ---- 29 ---- ---- 0.90

First Gear looks correct but the remain are closer to a Y1. Can anyone verify this isn't a part/pieced together tranny or know where I can find the correct number of teeth for each gear.
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

looks like you're 1 tooth off in counting

countershaft 2nd should have 40
40/19 = 2.1052631578947368421052631578947

I swear its 39. I counted them all 2 times prior to posting and then 2nd gear 2 more times after reading the reply. I marked the first one then counted 13 and added 2 more marks and finished on the one I started with, now I'm really cornfused

 

Any one know what is wrong here??

right I have the correct gear ratios listed in the orginal post but I was wondering about the gears teeth count. I've counted numerious times and the gear ratios aren't matching anything ratio wise

 

zCivic, I have checked a jdm s1 and J1 and they both had the same numbers you got.

So I do have an JDM S1 tranny and I'm not going crazy on the gear teeth count, whew Thanks a ton!!!
