how to: rear interior plastic removal
this is an easy process with the only difficulty coming from being hunched over in the little hatch in work clothes and an ambient air temp over 80deg. this whole process could be done in under 30min or in 5 short intervals broken up by trips to the ac in the store. let's get started:
there are 4 x 10mm bolts holding in the plastic side panels. one is hidden under the driver's side shock tower panel, here are the other 3 in these deep wells.
once the bolts are out, there are 6 x plastic-screw clips also holding in the plastic, just search them out and remove 'em. now pry the plastic away from the wall of the car. i started in the front pulling the plastic off the door jamb, then worked my way up and across the rear side glass. a couple of hard yanks will pull the plastic out of it's clips that secure it to the wall.
big chunk of plastic removed.
here is what it looks like under there. i was happy to find all the wires/hoses are well hidden so they won't get damaged when i throw tires and tools in there.
seat belt removal, 14mm bolt.
the seat belt retractor thingy, 3 x 14mm bolts and 1 x 10mm bolt. the metal ring the rear seats clip onto, 2 x 10mm bolts.
one word of caution, i can tell that it will not be an easy job to put the plastic pieces back in; certainly it can be done with a little pushing and muttering of expletives.
i will have a description of the noise levels a little later tonight after i pick up my sushi dinner!

it may be just as easy to remove the panels from the back to forward, i don't know. i certainly didn't have a hard time or feel i was in danger of breaking anything going from front to back. just be mindful of the rear seatbelt and it's easy enough.
Don't sweat it. You did a great job. I have the seats out...and I did it without a manual Mr. HELMS. I was thinking about taking the plastic out too, but I am not sure I like the look of the bare metal inside.
