hesitation on part throttle/ wot from 0-3k rpms.....?
'91 si hatch, I/E only..... rebuild motor at 120k, now at 225k.....
Symptoms are like the title says... what's the cause?
Fuel filter?
Clogged injectors?
Dying fuel pump?

Not fuel pump (problem would be at high RPM's).
Unlikely fuel filter (replace anyway).
Possibly clogged injector. Drop in some Techron to see if there is improvement.
Most likely weak ignition (plugs, rotor, wires, distributor). When was your last tune-up? Check distributor bearings for translational (up/down) play. You should have none. Some rotational play is normal.
Possible that O2 sensor may be weak if problem only happens when car is warm.
Hope this helps,
Charles

What was the resolution?
I have the exact same problem, but in a gen 2 Teg.
Stumbles off idle to 3000 RPM and then intermittent miss afterwards to 7000 rpm.
All happened after I filled the tank.

no resolution thus far. seems to happen at WOT and only under 3k rpms...
i already ran 2 bottles of injector and fuel system cleaner and 93 octane without any resolution.

I'm thinking maybe distributor, ignitor, cap, rotor, etc..... my plugs and plug wires are fairly new, so i guess i'll be replacing all of those parts one at a time till the problem goes away.
Along with ignition components, the throttle position sensor is also a likely culprit.

.....still no resolution.
Replaced the cap to check = still same problem...
next is the ignitor or coil...
anything else to check?
It's driving me crazy now!
Worse when the car is warmed up, and WOT feels like you're hitting the rev limiter except for 3-4k which feels fine... So weird. I figure it's gotta be ignition related. The plugs looked OK, not great, but they didn't have any liquid on them and weren't running lean.
Definite misfiring - especially at WOT...

o2 sensor problem ...Usually when a car heats up and then has this problem its an o2 sensor problem ....if it does it off cold idle its something else
my zc has done this since ive had it...it also throws a o2 sensor code..
however my motor stutters worse when its cold..and alot less when its hot..
i have yet to figure these problems out..but raising my fp and getting a msd has fixed the stuttering a tad bit..

My CRX bogs out when the motor is cold and the gas is hit, but when it heats up to operating temp the problem goes away...
Could be o2, cap, rotor, wires... any number of different things
Try replacing the cheap stuff first, then work your way up tp the more exspensive things
