What will it take for my BB6 to hit 13.9?
My goal for this car is to run a 13.9 in the 1/4 mile.
Here is my setup thus far:
Power: AEM CAI/S2 IM/Hondata IM Gasket/Type One Racing Header(2.36'' collector), 2.25'' Test Pipe, 2.25'' Thermal Exhaust, Hondata S200 on a P28. Dynoed around 188WHP/140TQ
Suspension:TEIN SS Coilovers,Stock Wheels,Falken Ziex 512 tires.
Transmission: Stock Tranny, Clutch, and Flywheel.
Weight Reduction: I have stripped out the back of my car. The weight reduced from the items taken out is 117lbs, factor in another 15lbs for lighter I/H/E and that comes to 132lbs. So the curb weight from 2950 is now 2817.

I think the 3 area's I need to address are my power, traction, and transmission.
I'm installing a Euro-R manifold and Type S cams. I'm betting that will net me about 200WHP. As for traction, I'm going to invest in a set up BFG D/R's which will also mean I will have to switch to a 15'' wheel. For my transmission needs, I'm thinking of an EXEDY stage 2 clutch with the thick disk. I'm not sure if i'll need an LSD to hit a 13.9 but every little bit helps. If I do go the LSD route it will definatly be a quaife. I am also going to invest in a real short shifter (P-Spec or 4Bidden).
Do you all think this will get me into the 13.9 range? Suggestion and Comments are always welcome!

Get a set of 22x8 slicks (M/T 22x8x15 due to your brakes). I'd say you'd gain at least .5 in E.T. just by gaining traction and being able to achieve much greater 60' times. If you're not into slicks get a cheap 50 shot (Dry) nitrous setup and that should do the trick while keeping the street tires as well. Good luck.

I use to own a 5g Prelude vtec and demanded the same results.
I say stick with the S2 IM, and get either crower stage 2 cams or skunk 2 cams and increase the redline into the 8k area and upgrade the t/b and in the end p/p the head & deck it to increase comp. And like ^ said get slicks...and a good a.c.t clutch and launch hard.

Do this, get some ITR wheels and mount some MT 22x8x15 Slicks. and your golden!

You're thinking of Tire Dia. The wheel size(13" 15" etc.) has nothing to do w/ the FD. If a 13" wheel and a 15" wheel both have 22x8 slicks on them they yield the same gear ratios.

Here are the 2 timeslips for comparison. I was holding out 3rd on both of them. Definatly shifting into 4th at 8k from now on.

This run was done at 5:28 PM. Probably my 3rd or 4th run. Humidity was 76.

This run was done at 8:20 PM. Probably my 8th run. Humidity was 80.

My friend ran a 13.5 with full interior. Here's his thread/video/setup: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1293457
ITR wheels are mad expensive. What's a cheaper OEM option I can go with? Is there a benefit in going to a 15'' wheel? Any reason why I couldn't get 2 16'' stock prelude wheels and put slicks on them?

Knowing that i'm going to be at 200WHP, are these slicks to big for my power level? I am currently at 188WHP, could I run them at this power level with success?

i want to find some inexpensive OEM wheels to put my slicks on. I'm looking to get some Accord Euro-R(CL1) wheels for my everday JDM look. The CL1's are 16's by the way. So what other honda cars share the 5Hx114.3 Bolt Pattern?
that car will go 13's on drag radials with it's current power level. Aggressive launch, aggressive shifts at 8K and you're there.
My next step is getting some camber correction. I can definatly tell I need it by how my tires scrub on my burnouts. I also want to invest in a set of replacement OEM axles, where is the best place to buy them? BTW, are remanufactured axles more trouble than they are worth?
