Whatever the case, I would suggest that you only buy the seats through the auction and ebay, and dont let him end the auction and sell to you direct. You are just asking for trouble, and you will not be protected. And the fact that he can only take payment through paypal is fishy too. Cuz he knows that once the money is in and he takes it out, he is free and clear.

hey ant man...don't do it dude. i emailed him about these seats yesterday and asked him how recent the pictures were. no where in his response does he say anything about the source of these pics...esp that they are NOT his...i even asked why the **** cover was removed as seen in the drivers side pic.."i removed them for cleaning". wtf!?!?those aren't even his seats in the pics!

 

Thanks for the heads up guys Man, This is why I love honda-Tech because if you see something like this, theres always someone else who knows about it also to help out.

Definitely don't buy until auction is officialy over because I've purchased an item before auction was officially over from some other guy and got screwed w/ nothing to do about it

It's funny how I just now saw this post because I just got back from meeting up with the guy who was selling the recaros. I've been looking for some black recaro's for sometime now so when I saw the auction I couldn't resist!!! I've been talking with him(jay) since last night and I told him there's no way I'm buying those seats unless I see them personally and pick them up. Sure enough guys we met up and all I can say was DAMN!!! I think I got the best deal for some black recaros. They look newer then the ones in the pic. He even showed me the reciept from who he bought the seats from. He bought them for $1800 and had them in his car for 3 months and sold them for $1300. I even told him he can get more for them.

My friend talked to the guy on the phone and he sounded really skecthy. He wouldn't tell my friend his name or anything. Stay away from that guy.

 

He seemed pretty nice to me! He told me his name when he called me. I think the only reason he may have been sketchy to your buddy was the pics on the auction. After all, they are the same pics as akhom. Its a REALLY good thing I demanded to see the seats first and pick them up in person because I could've been a victim of fruad!!
