Default My type r rebuild in progress!!!!!!!!!

1.If u've been through NY salvage inspection please pm me!!!!!.

2. I'm also trying to find the number of this type r. If you have any info please let me know.

I purchase this r last month from a dealer in Brooklyn NY. Its a stolen recovery from Orlando Fl with only 74k miles. I have to bring it to get inspected for a New York title though . Got a chance to speak to the insurance company that salvaged the car and received some really good news . They were able to fax me an estimate that tells me the reason why they salvage the car. Came to find out that I just needed receipts for BS parts. Having the engine on the estimate was strange. Its on the estimate as damage??? Only the valve cover and a hole in the oil pan. Vin numbers match car and engine is running smooth, so someone strewed up at the insurance company .
The car was stripped of seats, interior parts and didn't have the rear type r suspension. Some mysterious way they got lost in transit from Florida to ny.
I'll keep updating this, so stay tune for more pix......

Car is up and running. Finally got the title in January 2008 ...

Zoom in on the license plate if you can, and see if you can run it and find the original owner and get any info if possible.

Man thats a good looking shell.. usually they come back as peanut shells but that still has alot of parts on it.. How much did you pay for it? Here in washington if the car wasnt stripped that bad you can get in contact with the insurance company to have them reverse the salvage. You might look into that since the car is in really good shape.. Good luck on the rebuild

Dude I got all the parts you need. I'm sitting on 2 front clips with Type R front ends, three 5- lug, 4- blocks - 10 heads and about 6 trannys. For the interior I have like 12 front seats and like 9 dash's with everything on it. Holla at your boy.

Oh yeah, sold as is no questions asked.

That's one hell of a first post. Do you have VIN's to go along with all those ITR parts?

replied to your PM

NYS is very strict with this process. you need all vins from the cars you get parts from. it is actually the NYS Theft Bureau that handles this process and they are ****** and take no bullshit. for instance, the FIRST time I went there(ended up having to go 3 times, and rent a dolley each time! PITA to say the least), I had everything in my car replaced, but since I rented a dolley and towed the car there, I had to take off the front bumper to put it on the dolley. And I didnt bring the bumper with me. I explained to them it didnt fit on the dolley with a bumper, regardless, they wouldnt even look at my car. so next time I had to bring the bumper with me and put on before they would let me pull my car in. they pull your car into a big shed, put it on a lift, and go to town. they do not let you in while they are inspecting. the car must be running, driveable, and safe for the street. why it has to be safe I have no idea because this is NOT a NYS inpection. you need to get a regular NYS inspection afterwards anyway. they dont care what car parts you use to make your car work, as long as you have VINs and receipts for everything you replaced/fixed. I had a full civic interior in my car, and a GSR cluster.

I threw on a gsr head just to make sure block and tranny are ok. No knocking and no grinds

Finally got rid of the funky smell with Baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and dishwashing liquid . I was going to trash the carpet until I was quoted about 400.00 from acura. I washed it and it came out cleaner that i expected. Just need to fix this hole in the floor thanks to a frigging forklift....
