super low on cash since my gold diggin girlfriend needed some new dolce gabbanna.

Is this one a tad better than my shitty OBX 4-2-1 header which didnt even come CLOSE to fitting? i can possibly grind down the flanges, and use some thermosteel to cold weld the flanges together to ensure no leaks. Just need something quick since i cannot find a 99-00 oem exhaust manifold, and my obx one is cracked in like 10 places. thanks

not looking for much power gains, but the 96-98 cast iorn tend to crack, i cant afford anything over 100 right now, and havent been able to find a decent header for cheap.

Im just thinking about getting this one, and maybe doing some fixing up, or at least it might be better than obx, right?

 

cast iron takes a long time to crack... it doesn't just go in there and go "BAM" crack

If you need a cheap fix go for whatever. How long are you planning on running the new header? If its only for a temporary "I'm f%^&ing broke" solution, go for it. But the one off the Z6 will definately work and line up.

ive heard the z6 is the worst manifold ever.

Only reason im concerned, is that the header is only like 40 bucks off ebay. Ive searched ALOT!

My OBX's collector aims up towards the engine, and doesnt get a seal wtih the cat.

 

can anybody look at the ebay link, and tell me if this is going to be ALOT worse than OBX? im really worried since the OBX's flange is SO warped, and the actual header is not even close to fitting.

At least i can take the ebay header, and kinda mold it and file it down to make a smoother seal. usually i woiuldnt even worry about it, but im super low on cash, and my exhaust is SO LOUD my girl is takling about other dudes with quieter cars.

well has anybody bought a cheap $40 header off ebay? it seemed like good welds in the pic. What im more worried about is the welds and flanges holding up, will it last more than a few months?

 

For $40 it's worth a shot. Get it and tell us how it fits. So when another person comes along in the same situation he'll know what to do

haha, well she technically was a supermodel in paris, or shall we say erotic dancer. She is hot, but sometimes i want to punch her in the jawline. Like all females, the hotter they are, the more you will eventually start getting fed up with the scandols, and getting in fights at bars n shoot. the only thing that is scandol free in my life is my highflow cat, still shiney, hasnt rusted, will never cheat on me with another vehicle, wont tell me things that make me cry, i like it.
