Underbody Skid Plate: Would you rock it?
Hello Everyone,
This is an underbody skid plate for the 2002+ Impreza.
I was looking to see if anyone made them for the 92-95 Honda Civic, w/o any luck. I think these are better than header skid plates that others have been making.
What do you guys think?
I have an H22A swap, and am sick of bent headers and oil pans.

Someone used to, but I haven't been able to find it. The problem is that most after market headers are lower than the oilpan already. The bash guard would just make your ground clearance that much worse.

Probably not me personally.

I agree.
We rock one in our rally car, but on a street car I can't totally see the point. If you want to defend your header, raise the car to a reasonable level.
That said, there are also drawbacks to skid plates. If a skid plate is to be effective, it needs to be of a sufficiently thick aluminum. That can be fairly heavy, and they are cumbersome when you have to take them off for any reason. Good luck changing your oil in 15 minutes...

Just reading this and I don't think it's pointless for getting a skid plate..reason is if you rally or not there's **** that will fly into you engine bay and to protect it you use the skid plate...
I would buy on if anyone know's who sells them/make em...reason for me getting one is because I live in a shitty place where it snows and when it does all that crap the snow and road salt will fly into the engine bay and make thing nasty and even rust out parts that's not rust protected so yeah I could use one...yeah I could get a beat for the winter but can't affor one plus have no room for one..so yeah anyone knows who makes em of whatever holla at me! same years 92-95 civic coupe

you dont need anything that big, all you need is a front lower tie bar of some sort that big *** plate may actually make your bay hotter, as there is really nowhere but a little slit in the back for your air to vent.

Exactly. Especially if it was in the rear of our cars. This thing would be able to elimate the need for those stupid *** "speed hole" plates for the rear bumper. A skid plate would completely eliminate any wind being caught behind the rear bumper. If you don't believe me they why do all race cars have them?

Beat Rush makes them, Under Panels, for the JDM Fit, ITR, and Civics, EG and EK.
Looking at the catalog right now.
They are 2.0mm thick and most have louvers to vent the engine bay.
Talk to Shine Street, last I heard they were importing Beat Rush and could get the Under Panel.
