Deck Help
Does anyone know how to put a deck into a 97 gs? I have the deck, the wiring, the amp and the subs but i'm not really sure how to run it all together. I have a general idea but i'm not sure.
here is an article to help you install the headunit

to add the amp/subs, it is really pretty easy. all you have to do is take your RCA's and plug them into the appropriate outputs on the back of the headunit. run them down one side of your car. take the remote cable (very thin blue wire, run that down the same side of the car)
put your power cable and inline fuse near the battery in the engine bay, but do not connect them yet. run through powerwall (probably will give you the most difficulty) and run that down the other side of the car. you want to keep the RCA cables and the power cable away from each other to decrease interference.
run everything back to the amp, connect them to the appropriate places. find a good place to ground the amp, and so do.
connect the speaker wire from the subs to the amp (look on crutchfield.com to see your wiring options to run the maximum effective ohms for your amp)
hook up your power cable in your engine bay last! do not forget this or else you will be baffled as to why your stereo is not working!
that should be it. if you have any questions about any of the steps, or would like some more detail, do not hesitate to post up. good luck and just take your time, it is not very difficult at all.

are you one of those people that get mad when they call "nitrous" "nos"? are you going to stop calling kleenex and start calling it tissue? Are you going to start calling a double cheeseburger a double cow too?

No, all those are straight because they are correct names (kleenex is tissue, NOS is nitrous, etc). A cd player/dvd player/etc isnt a tape deck. Its mainly because when I opened the thread I thought it was referring to a block deck and not a headunit.

A lleenex, nos is a brand name not what the object is.
Kleenex = brand or type of manufacture
Nos is not nitrous it is the company NOS.
What if he said help with deck player? I would assume it to be either a cd or cassete player unit.
