The casing on the knock sensor in my 97 GSR was cracked. I epoxied this a while ago, but now have a new sensor. It is time to properly replace it.

The knock sensor is basically sandwiched between the intake manifold and the water pipe on the back of the engine. It looks like the hex is a 27mm. Does anyone have any advice for getting a socket on the knock sensor to remove it? I would like to remove as little as possible, especially the intake manifold. I was planning to use an extension with a swivel. Thanks!

Edit: The thread size was 27mm. I hate socket sets that skip sizes.

idk tha metric size, but i'm sure you can google it. as for it's standard size, it's 1-1/16. good luck.
