pics of gutted interior?
it doesnt save that much at all really, the plastic in the back barely weighs anything, the spare and the jack, is where you would lose the most, ill try and post some pics up today
its just a fad. like ^^ said, the only real weight savings is the jack and tire. the rest is just an "i have a gutted car" fad...10 to 15 lbs...big freakin deal on a street car. if even that much.

x2 i was missing the peice that goes straight across the back, the guy i bought it from was older and i have no damn clue why he took it out.

its definitly not worth gutting your car, depending on if its your daily or not, but its definitly not worth it, i did it to my old hatch and it was cold, crappy looking total waste just up the power in your car and forget weight reduction. unless you are going for major major major power weight reduction isnt a good idea. hopefully you keep the interior cos it is a waste of time
i totally gutted my full rear interior, sprayed it black and all that plastic and carpet is well to 100 lbs mabye, but mine doesn't rattle and it's not to loud w/ dc headers, greddy test pipe, greddy catback w/ resinator cannister and muffler and my friends can hear me from a mile away

yea it is loud.i had to strip mine one time after a hurricane got the inside wet.well anyways i drove it for a day like that then sid screw this put carpet and **** back in.been driven everday u want it to be quiet in some way.if u want to drop some weight spring for c/f hodd and fiber glass oem fenders.u can aslo pick up some of thoes flex-lite windows for the hatch glass and rear quater glass.thats would drop a lot of wieght off just by doing the hatch glass.

not worth it in my opinon. its only like 15 ibs for the rear plastic. the spare tire and jack dont weigh too much either. also, who knows when you will get a flat or blow a tire. i was running without a spare tire, jack and cargo cover for a while, man it was a lot louder when on the freeway
I just bought a gold '91 hatch with a brown interior. I plan on stripping it simply because it is ugly. Hopefully I can replace the front pieces with some black. When I get it stipped I will get pics and weigh all the parts removed.
People strip the interior like they are running 9/10ths at the track.
Retarded and impractical for a daily driver or any street car for that matter. Stripped interiors are for race cars

No I just find it silly for a daily driver because these are the same cars you find in the impound or the junk yards because they could not even sell them after they raced them out.
im not feeling that stripped automatic nissan with NRG knock off recaros (it looks like cause i have them). stripped is fine if its a dedicated track car not some show car that never sees bugs smack against its front window. if it aint race, its rice my friend. the whole jdm scene is kinda gay in my opinon. too much hype which in turn raises prices for parts that arent worth the new cost. who cares if u have a jdm cigarette lighter or visor, i sure dont. i cant wait to get a license plate frame that says " if it aint RHD, it never be JDM, get over it"
