Default H2B People

Im looking for REAL WORLD expierience for people with the H2B adapter, preferably in a EF. I ve been doing alot of searching an alot of reading an reasearch, but it leaves a lot to be desired.

What are your real world expieriences, problems with axle placement, hood issues, tranny problems (popping out of gear, etc)
What whp are you making? whats the most whp someone is making with a H2B adapter?

just curious. I was hoping to see RMF chime in

With the QSD kit the tranny sits in the oem location so the axle angles and shift linkage is no different than a B swap in the car. I run stock axles, shift linkage, hasport replacement mounts etc.

I dropped 4 tenths and gained 5mph switching from the M2F4 to the GSR tranny.

I actually just picked up 2 more mph over the weekend too.

And to anwswer the question about the hood spacing it depends on the chassis, hood and MAP sensor location. I run a MAP on the top of my T-body which requires additional clearance, the webbing under the hood confliccts with the valve cover as well. For the EK/EG/DC very little hood spacing is needed however the EF and CRX require a cowl of some sort.

The flip side of the additional clearance is the oem axle angles and great ground clearance from moving the motor "up" in the engine bay.

Hood spacing on the teg

Ground clearance (barley see the pan hanging down)

would this kit help the problems of getting the right sized axles when swapping an H into a CRX? does anyone here have an H2B swap in their rex?

yes, search "H2B" and you will find a thread in the drag forum, I think his screen name is MR Rex or something....

You would use the same axles as if you had a B series motor in the car.

sucks ***....

we put one in my friends hatch...and it's just stupid

the hood is spaced out 1.5"and looks rediculous...
had to grind down half the oil pan rail
had to cut a portion out of the subframe on the driver side for the pulley...even after machieneing off all but the alternator pulley
exhaust angles up into ****

there were other little headaches as well....pretty much, none of us will ever waste the time on one again.

i understand the "headaches" , this is a motor an tranny that were NEVER designed to be used together.

an if you search you see the stuff you have to do to make it work so you have ot be prepared for it.

After you got it all done, how did the car run?

we did read up...but the kit came with no instructions...then they came up, but were shitty....

either way, it's in..but the cars not done yet. finishing up paint, making a custom hood, and doing some other small things. wasn't idleing right..but replaing the obx manifold with a skunk helped...but we still have to get exhaust on it to get it ideling better

I even cracked a smerk on that... H22's are a dime a dozen. They're everywhere.

H-series Rex's however are just as rare as a K-series Rex. Either one you do, even with a B-trans... the clearance is tight.

Well Im not really trying to be an Internet hardass. He is nothing but negative on this site. And what does an 06 member with 1000+ posts have anything to do with what I said.

Well I understand those are a dime a dozen but lots of people do not do the swap because of the cutting required.

I hate how I have to feel like I have to defend myself against people all the time (specially on H-T). I am constantly learning new things and when I hear about a good thing I have a right to defend it. Well all of that said I am done with this discussion and this site thanks to all you honda guys!

thats better. you obviously have a lot to say with your post count vs when you sign up, and if i were to go by your post in this thread then i would assume you have made 1000 posts of ****. Wherever you got the idea that you have to defend what you like is ******* stupid. If you like it, then you like it, who cares what others think. Just be prepared to take criticism on whatever you do here and not be such a girl.
