I was kinda wondering if anyone had pics of oil pan clearance on a lowered car. Is it more or less than with an H22 tranny in a Civic or Integra. I was also wondering if there is any problems with oil pick up tube placement after the motor is set straite up and down vs. being slanted back? Is there a web site or link for questions like this?

What would the point be to use a b-series tranny with an H-moter?? The Prelude gear ratios are only a little bit longer!! With a b-series tranny you wont cant full advantage of the torque of the h22!! If your running slightly smaller tires than your gears will really short!!

How well does the B-series tran match the H engine?

It's not about ratio's. It's about tryin to shift at 9k. h trannies don't really like to do that..

I don't think these plates have seen any boost yet.....

I have seen this plate in action and they are very well engineered and built well.

Ok...but H-moters dont like going to 9k either unless their built!! The only other problem would be the cables themselves binding due to not properly run to the tranny! I have been around many h22/civic swaps and builds!!! I have also never had a problem racing a civic with an h22 to 9k and encounting shifting problems!!

stop hating, for the price of doing a h series swap, you could instead put that money towards the h2b kit, still have all the factory located mounts, no whole in the floor, an awesome tranny that by the way can take way more abuse then an h or a f series tranny, and a way to go back to a stock motor if needed.I think this is freakin awesome.I want to do one in my race car for next year.

Is this safe for a street app?

It would be nice to not have to chop up my pass mount location for the H tranny.

There are a lot more options for final drives and gearsets available for B series transmissions. The B tranny weighs less. The B doesnt use the shitty cable shift mechanism. Overall the h2b kit solves a lot of the issues that make me dislike prelude swaps.

.nate's post reflects most opinions of existing H22 owners. At least from what we have discovered...
