Default Possible Carbing/Rigid Strut bar group purchase!

Ok, I just got back from a friend's shop and I might be able to co-ordinate some type of group purchase but ONE person needs to volunteer to be the test subject before anything happens. If front bar fits with no problems I will get the ball rolling for you guys. If the bar doesn't fit the test subjects car I will buy it from them. I think it will be easier if only one make of the bar is purchased. The Carbing bar comes in polished aluminum and white while the Rigid bar comes in yellow only. There will NOT be a MC brace option since the brace is meant for RHD cars. This purchase will be restricted to DC, EG, and EK frames. If there are a lot of people interested I would like to split the distribution into a east coast/west coast setup with a respected H-T members helping me out. Racer X, are you interested in being the east coast contact point? I am only doing this because quite a few people IM'ed me about purchases. The retail price is below and I should be able to get some type of discount. Last but not least, I will make $0 from this if it happens. All I need is 1 person so we can do a test fit! Please post here if you are interested in the buy. Do not flood me with IM's.

front Aluminum front type II... 28000yen $220
front steel Type II ...18000yen $141
front aluminum type I 18000yen $141
front steel type I 12000yen $95
rear aluminum Type I bar is 17000yen $133
rear steel type I bar is 11000yen $86

CARBING

RIGID

One more thing..

This will be a slow process! 1 week to get the first bar after the test subject sends money. 7-10 days for the bar to get to the test subject. 1 or 2 weeks to collect the money for the purchase followed by 1 or 2 weeks to fill the order and then 7-10 days for you guys to get them.

That is the tentative time schedule if the test fitting goes OK.

Hey Dee! I've been trying to find that thing!!! I saw it in Hyper Rev. I'll be willing to be the test subject(my EG) as i'm sure Dropspeed may be interested for his ITR. That's a great price if it fits.

If you are positive send me an email @ drealgsr@hotmail.com so we can make the proper payment arrangements. Paypal is the quickest way to do it and I will live the loot in the account until you receive the bar(s). Front and rear? Just front? Carbing or Rigid?

I don't get it. So they'll only fit RHD DC and EG's?
And do all Integras (LS/RS/GS/GSR/TypeR) have the necessary holes below the windshield so it'll be a "OEM fit"?

I'm in if it passes the sackdz phase of testing.

Maybe a sticker would be appropriate...

"sackdz inspected - No. xxx"

like those little pieces of paper they leave in jackets.

Will somebody go out to their car and make sure that there are two pretapped holes on the left hand side of the firewall. It is your responsibilty to make sure that your car has the mount holes. Once the fitment has been verified all fitment responsibilities will lay upon upon you guys. Hopefully sackdz with have his bar within the next 2 weeks.

For the MC brace peeps.. I will try to work something with the Cusco MC brace if you guys get Jeff Sloan to post his modification info.

I know there are going to be some fitment issues but a friend with an AC equipped EG has the front bar installed over here. Let's just wait and see what happens with sackdz.

I have looked into this before. I'm pretty sure that bar will not bolt in unless you are willing to modify. If it works I am definetly interested.

Sorry, Need to clarify, I never tried it. I was just talking to people about the brace and it looks like the brake lines are in the way? Hopefully Ed will make it happen.

Ok... I did some more research and the Type I bar will fit with no problems. As far as the Tye II 3pt bar is concerned I guess this will be verified/re-verified once sackDZ gets his.

The original pic above showed a Type II front bar with a Type I rear bar. I am also gonna try to find pics of the Carbing lower arm bars.

Type I front bar!

Dee is the man!
If you haven't found a guinea pig yet Dee, i'll try on the Type I for size. I'm sure that'll fit no problem.

Any word yet sackdz?

I'll take some pics for everyone when I get it, and show how close the fit is. I'm willing to do a little modification. You should try it on your hatch, Jeff.

Hmm... you don't really need the master cylinder.
