Brakes... again
Hey guys, I've folowed this board for a few weeks no but I'm now just starting to post. The brake upgrade gig using Legend calipers and Accord wagon rotors if brilliant. Mad props. I was just about to go out and buy some crap rotors/pads/lines kit to upgrade my car's brakes but I'm investigating this new option now... but I got a few questions.
Part number on the Legend calipers?
Did you use stock Wagon rotors or a aftermarket rotors made for the wagon?
Any one know where I can find plain old Brembo blanks online? Everyone's trying to sell these powerslots and AEM big brakes. Do people really think that buying a rotor with holes and slots in it will make them stop faster? God the stupidity of your average tuner kills me.
And did I read correctly in there some where that this all fit under your stock wheels?
Any help would greatly appreciated.

I've been looking to upgrade my brakes... I get mad brake fade with a fully loaded car on mountain roads (which I often travel). I use raybestos pads... and I'm able to press the rotors off myself... What would be the best upgrade? (cost conserving) on a 4th gen 90ex (disc/drum)

OK I read the threads you posted... again... I'm cool with the rotor gig. I've ordered Brembo blanks for a 5 gen Accord Wagon. Now should I be looking for calipers from a Legend coupe (92-95? trim level matter?) or should I grab calipers from an Accord Wagon/V6 Sedan? Which ones are the dual piston?
I also ordered stainless lines for my 95 Accord coupe EX (rear disc). I assume Honda used all the same fittings so I won't need to fenagle that at all.
I need to order pads - but as I assume you have to order pads specific to the calipers. I'm waiting to get the calipers (or at least know which ones I need) before I actually order the pads.
Thanks again.
PS This is going to be some pimp **** when its all said and done.

accords are about 10" in diameter. One bright side of slotted or drilled rotors... it reduces unsprung weight. For those who don't get on the brakes really hard, they shouldn't have too many worries about cracking the drilled rotors, and the reduced unsprung weight is a plus.
and read the big threads on the legend caliper swap... they have all the info.
92-95 coupes, both trims LS/L, and the 94-95 GS sedans have the dual piston calipers.

Just out of curiousity - my buddy from HART mentioned I might also benifit from changing the master cylinder. I was thinking that a different proportioning valve would be good considering I am changing to a larger rotor but he seemed more concerned about the different caliper - especially moving to from a single to a dual piston version. Any body got any ideas?
Thanks for info TypeSH
