i talked to an eagle rep, i dont think they would lie about how much power they can handle, do you really hear about eagles breaking? not really unless they are over revved or improperly installed/assembled, i doubt anyone is going to be making over 900hp anyways. eagles, just like pauter, manley, and carrillo can all break at 300whp, good tuning is important here...

We made 605wHP on our chassis dyno which would make the motor over 700 at the crank. No issues yet.

are you serious??? of couse manufacturers lie about capabilities and/or gains. you really think they will ever warranty a rod you were running over 300hp on? NOT, so why not tell everyone what they want to hear. happy numbers!!

Mine snap half at 377 hp with 2.0 b18c gsr

but not sure if eagle rod is snap half because there s hole on the block..
i havent chance look at it....My hatch is at friend s house.

I m not saying anything against EAGLE RODS. It just that it probably bad assmembly or bad tuning i dont know. i ll look at it this weekend.

The reason they get the crappy rep is because of the price, more people have them so the laws of supply to failure makes it higher. Anything can break in high performance applications and if there are just a lot more of them out there, you are going to hear of more breaking.

As you can see, plenty of people in here have made more than what you are asking with no problems and one guy had one break at 377. Things will happen but the rods are fine.

Eagles don't just snap in half. And since you mentioned holes in the block, you probably spun a bearing first and it siezed to the crank.

we would have to see pictures of that. im willing to bet a rod bolt broke before the actual rod did.
