Maintenance light is blinking, please help.
I noticed recently that my "Main Reqd" light blinks exactly ten times when I turn my car on. I did a little checking around and found out that 10 blinks is a code for intake temperature. I do have a Comptech CAI, could this be causing the fault or should I go and have it checked out? Any help would be appreciated, thanks
It depends on what light is on. The Type R has a maintenance required light that is in the bottom left hand corner of the gauge cluster. That is basically an idiot light, it is so that you take your car into service...it is triggered by mileage. What you should do is turn on your car, then reach down with your right hand on the right hand side of the steering wheel. All the way under the dash there is a button, if you get under the dash and look it is light blue. Hold that down and see if the light goes off. If the light goes off then you are good...if it stays on then maybe you are talking about a different light than I am.

My R has 29,000 miles on it. Every 7500 miles the light would come on and I would reset it. But when it did come on, it would stay on, it didn't blink. Now's its blinking... 10 times exactly, then goes out. I don't want to simply reset it and hope that the problem goes away. I'd like to know if there is a real problem or not first. Thanks for the replies guys.

Mine blinked every single time it came on for x amount of time (miles?), then it would be solid only. The only one with a Code would be the MIL light (aka Check Engine Light). And 10 flashes at the same rate isn't a code for the CEL anyways, it's be 0-9 long flashes and 0-9 short flashes.
i had that same problem about a month or 2 ago........and as yoshi showed you, the button is your friend.........
hahhaha.......this comes up like every other month..someone always asks it...
