Default how can I take the paint off a plastic trim ?

Hi, the stip that goes sideways on my rex, was painted the color of the car (i bought it like that) and some part is starting to chip.. I saw that the ppl that paint it didnt sand the plastic to paint it... So I was wondering is there is any product that will take the paint off without damaging the plastic ?

i don't know of anything that does what you are saying without buggering up the plastic, but sanding everything and repainting with trim paint works. i can't speak much for the longevity of the duplicolor stuff everyone uses (anyone had it on for more than a year?) but at a couple bucks a can who gives a ****.

i have a feeling that the alternative is just to buy/find some unpainted moldings.

I used por-15 paint remover on my bumper and all trim because the previous owner had paint over everything..And the plastic didnt get ruined..I did have to spray it with some trim paint though because they sanded when painting it..
