Default Comptech Springs Installed & Quick Review.....

I had my Comptech springs installed from a friends shop on Thursday night and i've now gotten almost a week of usage out of them.

My last 2 suspension setups have been Full coils and its been about 2-3years sinve i've run just springs on anything

and honestly.. i couldn't be happier ( right now ) , i'm still planning to do shocks when released.

The comptechs drop is stated at 1.0 F and 1.2 R however, they look alot lower IMO.
They ride nice and tight, very very slight bounce even the paperwork that comes with them has them
showing that the fronts are SIDE specific, which shows actual work went into these rather than just something thrown together for the heck of it.

All in all i'll give them a 9 of 10

and i've YET to rub, or scrape on anything and thats AFTER the install of my HFP kit which i've VERY happy about

here are some pix of the setup.

little more gap in the rear than the front, which i like ( whne i have passengers OR luggage on trips!! woot )

here is one of the clearance BEFORE the lip kit
( tons of room down there )

hot damn it's sexy. I tried installing my Comptech springs last weekend. I got the stock ones right out but I couldn't get the Comptech ones compressed enough to fit on the rears (I was using cheap *** rental compressors from Advanced or Autozone or whatever).

Anyhow, my failed attempt at spring install ledme to make an appointment at a friend's shop as well for next week. I don't trust myself on the HFP kit so that is going on by Honda on Saturday morning.

Dude the drop looks great, I can't wait to get mine on there. I've been staring at them sitting on my coffee table for a week now.

Those springs are close to $400 here in Canada, but I'm still getting a set. The drop looks perfect and Comptech quality can't be beat.

Very Nice drop.

Could not have picked better wheels

Are they 17x7 with the +43 offset?

on the top of the engine under the plastic where the washer are.
there are little flaps you lift and you can see the tops of the towers

although everyone knows comptech is quality, not many have run the comptech springs on a lot of apps, me being a minority. kudos to you, i love how precise comptech is, the specificity goes a long way in peace of mind.

Comptech springs are nice I installed a set on a s2000 and they ride great. The coating the use on the springs does not seem to hold up to well in michigan the ones on the s2000 started to rust within 2 months . If you live in a salt free state you should be all set. If not coat them first so you dont have this problem.
