How To: Civic Hatch/CRX power lock install.
Here are 3 latches, hatch/CRX, 4d front, 4d rear. Notice the fronts are very similar, and the lock actuators on the 4d ones are also very similar.

Close up of the hatch/crx latch. Notice it has the peg that the actuator engages, as well as tapped holes for the actuator to bolt to.

Detail of the 4D front latch. Notice it is actually the same except it is missing the part the turns the interior manual lock 90*, this is because the 4D has the locks by the window, not the handle. The bracket for this piece is still here. It also has one extra wire comming out of the sensor body, i don't know what it is for.

Detail of 4d rear actuator. Notice it is even stamped with the same part number as the front actuator. The only difference is it has only 2 wires for lock/unlock. I believe the other 2 wires on the front actuatorare for some type of sensor.

So with only 3 screws, I took the actuator off the rear latche (simpler, only 2 wires) and screwed it onto the hatch/crx latch.

After much hassel i realized that it must be assembled inside the door unless I want to remove the window tracks. I also found that the support for the door mounted seatbelt retractors interferes with fitment. Tomorrow I will cut that **** out and have a picture of how it fits
Wiring should be similar to the power window project found here:

the extra wire is a switch so when u push down on the lock on top of the door it will lock all doors. this switch is also the one that lock all doors when u lock the door w/ the key
EDIT. i found a schematic for u

could be longer than that now. keep hitting roadblocks.
First my jack died mid swap, now the tranny slipped off the new jack and hit me in the head. I think it destroyed the new clutch too.

I wanted to ask you a couple of questions about this swap. Are your hatch/crx door latches actually out of a crx or a hatchback? Also what year is the car they came from?
I have been doing power upgrades on my car and my 91 crx latches are not the same as the ones you show on your writup. I look forward to your response.
