How many quarts of oil will I need to do an oil change on my b16? I just got some synthetic from amsoil but I realized I only got 2 quarts and I'm not sure if it it'll be a enough. I don't want to have to mix in an inferior oil halfway through my oil change or have to order more.

How much do I need?

youll need at least four... thats how many my d16 carries

haha yeah deff, more them 2, i would say at least 4 mabey 4.5

 

4.2 including filter for oil change on B16

mine takes 4.5

 

3.5 for mine

But Honda recommends 4

 

Mine takes 4, but I always get 5 just in case.

I put 4.5 in and its good to go

 

i put 4 qts in engine,,then 1/4 in oil filtr..

 

Out of curiosity, how much does the tranny take?

2 quarts along with a flush i believe, but when i drained and re-filled about 1.25 quarts..

ummm, when i got mtf from the dealership for my b16a the parts guy gave me 3 quarts, said i would use ~2.5 on any b-series tranny. factory service manual says 2.2 quarts for change.
