Default ASR brace and Suspension Techniques Rear Sway are COMPATABLE on DC Integra PICS

After 2 threads with input but no clear anwser on my question on the compatablity of the Suspension Techniques with the use of the ASR Subframe brace, I decided to buy one. I the rear sway from Jegs and it came in 2 days then I bolted it on to find out IT WORKED. (I drive a 1997 Integra GS with ABS.)

I was worried that the extra bit of space the ASR brace provided between the orginial mounting holes and the new mounting holes would make the sway bar not be able to clear the shocks. Well it DID clear my Omnipower shocks and mounted perfectly to my ASR brace.

This combo provided an amazing turn around in my handeling and I do not have to worry about sub-frame tear out any more.

ONTO THE PICS!

Just tryin to help out anyone who is wondering about this setup! Because I was!

you have the endlink bushings on too tight. they should not be 'mushroomed' like they are.

loosen them just enough to where they touch, but arent clamped down. that lets the bar do its job better.

good to know you got it all sorted out

My Suspension Techniques bar works with my brace kit... then again I have the ST Speed-Tech setup that has a 22mm bar with a lower chassis brace. Your setup looks very nice.

Is that your ABS line zip tied to the LCA? I am getting an ASR bar but am not sure on what to do about the ABS line. Also, what are the back plates like? From their instructions it looks like they fit over the bolts. I recently cut mine off for the Beaks kit, hopefully it wont be a problem.

I cut off the nuts that are welded onto the back of the subframe so that i could mount the beaks kit. But after seeing how the holes got ripped up a little bit from the welds, i decided i would be more comfortable going with the ASR bar.

So did you just take the ABS bracket off and zip tie the line on there?

USDM97DC4, I have a question regarding the install of a suspension techniques rear sway. I've got a BSQ kit, and I'm having MAJOR issues with the end links. The tips of the bar are right up against the back of my brakes...

I have the same bar as you (The same part number is printed on the paper label on the bar).

I'm tearing out my hair. I mean, I pulled my LCA's just to get the damn thing to clear... now this.

Help please!!!

I think the difference may be that my car is up on jack stands (No compression in spring or shock)...

I looked at your pics, and your car is sitting on the driveway.

I'm going to put my car up on ramps instead of jackstands...

Then retry.

Ramps? Can you work well with those? I installed mine with the rear of the car on jack stands

The ramps that I have are really good. They're built for lowered cars, and they have a recess in the top to hold the wheel. (I think the ramp will hold a 255 wide tire, not a problem for the teggy)
