B16B deck height??
is the b16b deck height the same as the b16a or the b18c's?
i have heard that the b16b has a higher deck height like the b18c
i was thinking about getting a bare block and putting a gsr crank and rods in it and some itr pistons, would this be possible? i know that it isnt with the b16a block

No, I think the B16B crank has much beefier counterweights than the B16A crank, as well as different rod journal widths.
Also, to compensate for the extra deck height of the B16B block, the rods are longer than the B16A's.

yea, i figured that because the itr crank is heavier than the gsr crank, how long are the PCT rods? mine say p72 on the bottom as well as the back of the block, so is that normal? i picked it up for 140 with everyhing but the pistons

im not having very much luck finding a b18c crank, so i was thinking about putting an ls crank and rods in, anything think i should go with the LS parts or wait on the b1c because i would like to rev this motor pretty hard but i want it to have some guts too

Correct, but I have always been told that the deck height on the B16B is the same as the B18C-R may be wrong but I could have sworn that I was told that several times before.

all b18c blocks, including the b16b, share the same bare shortblock.
that should be normal.
also if you ever wanna sell your b16b block i might have a buyer for you.
