I still hate this hobby...just a little less now.
So last weekend I posted https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=151249. I've been fortunate this weekend and have actually made some progress...
6, count 'em, 6 brand new, heat-cycled, R3S03 Hoosiers. Mmm Mmm Good.
My oil catch can. Look closely and think of getfast's signature.
Another thing I've been successful with is turning my garage into a disaster area.
Stealing a page from Cobra (kind of), I made some brackets out of angle aluminum to mount a sunroof-shaped piece of sheetmetal on.
Far from shiny, but securely attached. Still gotta run some caulk in the seam so I don't get rained on...
The seatback brace (a little blurry). You know that means...I got the seat rails figured out too. Thanks Towne
Busy weekend, at least it was once you realize there was a bachelor party thrown in on Friday

Hey Warren, don't you have people with pretty cars. I do! Just kidding.
added in edit: I just checked the 'Waxers' thread. My car is way more ugly than yours. I hate you too.

And all this time, I thought what Karl is referring to as a "catch can" was really a distributor.

Damn you Towne.

Well actually that wasn't entirely inaccurate. Did you ever fix that little oil seal problem Karl?

is this a honda challenge-mobile?
(ducks for cover)
Hey. It wasn't supposed to be *that* funny.
KAMIN... if your garage looks like Karl's... you garage does not have "**** everywhere." It has "**** occasionally here and there". My family's garage... has "**** EVERYWHERE". Acuraracer112 can vouch for this, since he has seen me tearing through the place trying to find tools while taking apart a car in the driveway. Yes, that's right, taking apart the car in the driveway because there's no space in the garage. It's a little like Crack Monkey's garage, but from the pictures, it's even worse.
PS- Karl, I told one of our esteemed IM colleagues about your hella tite catch can... his comment was "GETTO RACING YO!"
An update.
Anyone else remember Catch 22's fiasco while installing his oil cooler, where the spin-on adapter was hitting a brace for the intake manifold...yeah, that's happening to me too. Took the bottom bolt out of the thing in hopes that I could move it, no such luck. Now I can't get that bolt back in.
Excellent.

Ah yes ... when reading threads like this I feel much better about the money I spent to have a guy with a lift, every tool known to man, 30 years of experience, and 20 years in racing work on my car.
I found the following stuff in a search...guess this is what I have to look forward to. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=119848 https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=125577
Adding to the fun...I can't get the car up into the air quite as high as I'd like. That's nice. So I'm kind of sandwiched between the car (which let's not forget has been leaking oil for the last year) and the floor with little ability to move my arms. So this is going to probably mean going and getting a nicer jack.
Add $100 or so to the oil cooler bill. Cha-ching!
I may be smiling on the outside, but inside I really feel bad for you.
Seriously, you know you can call me if you need help. The good news is that once you get that bracket shifted, everything is cake.
