Default header decision???

i have narrowed it down to two headers i would like to purchase i don't want to spend 1000 bucks on a header so i am trying to decide between a rage header or a rmf if you guys could give me some info to help me decide i would greatly appreciate it also what is the difference in the power in the rmf narrow and the regular style thanks guys

i think ( don't hold me to this ) that the difference between the "regular" and narrow is the physical size ( plus the performance differences that accompany that physical differnce )

but i'd go with the RMF.

check this out....

yeah i saw that but the thing is the rmf is mild steel that is the only thing that has me worried will it crack how long before it starts rusting etc. also which is better the regular street stype or the narrow style i don't have ac or ps so it really does not matter except for power if anyone has a rmf and could tell me if they have had any probs with them i would greatly appreciate it thanks

The Rage is a good manifold and makes good power, but when you have a custom built header for YOUR motor by a person like Randy, Dave, or Danny....the custom header will make more power, in some cases quite a bit more. The RMF's are usually coated, therfor they won't rust or anything like that. And if you can break that header, which will not be easy, Randy will fix it for you at no charge, but ONLY if you use flex pipe at the end of the header. As for the narrow vs. long tube, I think Randy prefers his narrow manifold for a "street" motor. I'm not speaking for him, maybe he can come in here and elaborate a bit

im pretty sure if it cracks randy will fix it. and it will not rust, they use a ceramic coating on it. see pic below.

uhh the one i posted costed me 780$ US shipped to my door in canada.
yes, you tell them your setup, they make it for that. mine is for a 2.0L gsr.
the only reason i went with the narrow instead of the street is cause it wont fit with my crossmember/radiator

I had a ceramic coated RMF narrow on my engine for 6 months and it started to rust just after the collector. The coating literally just began to bubble and peal off. I recently sold it and put on a no-name stainless header. All I have to say is if your're gonna spend the money spend it on STAINLESS. The RMF header was an amazing piece I'm just sorry I didn't buy a STAINLESS one. I will probably look into getting something else in the spring.

I bought a Rage header for my JDM ITR, and that thing just pulls. I dropped .5 off my quarter mile time with just this simple bolt on.
Here is a pic of it installed in my car

and another

People have had good results with that Edelbrock. The primaries and secondaries are sized very similar to the Toda header. But the non race header has a 2" collector, I think IB Spec sells that header with a 2-1/2" collector.

Think? I think you should be looking for graphs versus opinions.

I think the JG b series header is very well built. I sold me Spoon model in favor of it, and think the build quality is even a step higher
