My 1989 Honda Civic Si Chassis *work in progress*
I found this car this summer in Ottawa, It was really what I wanted, a rust-free 1989 Civic chassis I could work on during the winter that I could use as a week-end track car and a daily driver at the same time.
Here are the parts I have at the moment.
Engine:
-D16y8 with Si tranny
-42 mm CBR 929 ITB setup
-OBD1 conversion
-Lightweight flywheel
-Custom 2.25`` test pipe
-Custom 2.25 `` SS tig welded exhaust (magnaflow resonator & muffler)
Suspension:
-Koni Yellow shocks
-Neuspeed race springs
-Energy Suspension bushings
-Neuspeed front sway bar
-Ingal Camber kit
Brakes:
-Hawks Blue (Been there for a while, not sure if still good)
-Rear disk conversion
Wheels:
-Flat Black Kosei K1 15x7 45mm offset
Tires:
- Nothing at the moment (Falken Azenis in Spring)
Interior:
-Niken pedals
-C`s part Short Shifter
-91 Si dash
-94-01 GSR cluster
Exterior:
-Custom black housing headlights
-Custom black housing flashers
-OMP silver hood pins
-Home made front lip
-Flat Black hood, roof & spoiler to come
-¨EF9¨ spoiler mod
I still have to put in both doors, complete interior, complete wiring, fuel tank, fuel system, brake system, engine, windows and all the other small parts to make it running and pass inspection. So far all the parts on it are brand new (ball joints, bushings, wheel bearings, whole suspension setup).

I`d like to know what you think of look, I went for low budget changes on the exterior, (5$ front lip, flat black housings for flashers and headlights, flat black hood, roof & spoiler etc..) but high budget on suspension, brakes and engine. This is my first car and I will be taking my time rebuilding it. I have another EF just for parts and another one just for roadracing events/drag racing fun.
Thanks for looking!
love it, just paint the underside of the hood
I'd probably cut a rectangle around the2 holes on eash side of the bumper and just insert a wide duct instead of the 4 individual holes.
Thanks for the feedback! I was planning on doing this depending on my brake setup. If I keep the 10.3 inches brembo plain disks I might overheat on the track to I will cut them into rectangles and use them as brake cooling ducts, however if I go with a 11`` Noredline front disk setup, I will put rectangle JDM CRX amber fogs because I doubt I will overheat those

Looks awesome....sometimes I think in progress pics look better than the final product....keep us posted.
Thanks for the comments guys! The headlights are really easy to do, I did exactly the same thing as any other black housing project. I put them in the oven, took the silicone off, took the glass off, painted the housings black and put it all back on
